The Plantations community is located west of Woodfield Road (MD Route 124) and south of Sweepstakes Road. It was developed in 1978. The developer, Petit and Griffin, built many of the houses. However, some were built by Ryan Homes. Our community is self-managed, with a total of 406 homes, 346 of which are single-family detached houses; 60 townhouses are included in our community. Plantations residents enjoy two parks within our community - Club View Park and Wesley Foreman Memorial Park - as well as ready access to adjacent Magruder Branch Stream Valley Park.
